USA Announces Summer Premiere Dates for White Collar, Royal Pains, Suits

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love anything that airs on the USA Network. It’s probably because many of their shows feature a great bromance and boy do I love me some good bromancing. Think about it, there’s Harvey and Mike on Suits, Peter and Neal on White Collar, Hank and Evan on Royal Pains (a true bromance since they really are brothers), and even Sam and Michael on Burn Notice. This summer USA is adding to the list, with Wes and Travis from Common Law. I was lucky enough to see the pilot last year and let me just say how fantastic it was.

But it’s not just a boy’s club for me, since I also like their shows that focus on the ladies. I’m a fan of Necessary Roughness, Covert Affairs and Fairly Legal.

Needless to say, I’m pretty happy to see that all of my favorites will be back this summer. According to TV Equals, here are the Summer 2012 premiere dates on USA.

TV Episode Recap/Review – Royal Pains “Big Whoop”

by on Aug.22, 2010, under Comedy-drama, Medical, Television

Royal Pains

Okay so remember last time when I said I was trying really hard to like Emily? Yeah that’s over. I officially hate her now. But that doesn’t mean I dislike the show, so technically this is still a positive review. ;)

In this episode of Royal Pains, called “Big Whoop” Hank and Emily work together to treat a patient and get into a bit of a tiff when they don’t agree on how it should be done. Emily prescribes medication that the patient (a doctor himself) wants but doesn’t consult with Hank, who knows the drug often has dangerous side effects. Their relationship gets tested to the limit when he finds out, though they do end up working it out and find that the man had actually caught a very rare disease called whooping cough from his granddaughter.

TV Episode Recap/Review – Burn Notice “Blind Spot”

by on Aug.20, 2010, under Action, Crime, Drama, Spy, Television

Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell in Burn Notice

In this episode of Burn Notice, called “Blind Spot” everyone is, as usual, working on different cases. First off Fiona comes to the aid of a grieving woman who had her entire life saving snatch from her by a sleazy womanizer. It’s a job tailor made for Sam, so he helps her to get the sleazebag back. Every plan they have blows up in their face until finally they resort to drugging him (twice) to make him black out and think that he’s killed the woman whose money he stole. Then Michael steps in as a “dirty cop” and claims he can make it all go away, which he does (since it never happened in the first place) and gives the money to the client.

TV Episode Review/Recap – Burn Notice: Center of the Storm

by on Aug.07, 2010, under Action, Crime, Drama, Spy, Television

Jeffrey Donovan in Burn Notice

Having ridden out a hurricane or two in Miami, this week’s episode of Burn Notice, called “Center of the Storm” was somewhat familiar. Putting plywood up on windows, evacuating to higher ground, cleaning up afterwards, yep I’ve been there and done that.

Then again, Michael and his friends did have a smidge more to worry about than I did in my last hurricane. First of all, now that they’ve got Simon’s bible (which they are sure is a code cipher), Michael wants to meet with the man himself. While he’s trying to arrange that, he’s still keeping the secret from Jesse that this whole business is what got him burned, oh and he gets kidnapped.

TV Episode Review/Recap – Royal Pains: Frenemies

by on Aug.06, 2010, under Comedy, Drama, Medical, Television

Evan and Paige go hunting in Royal Pains

In this episode of Royal Pains called “Frenemies”, the brothers each find a new love interest. I’m trying really hard to like Emily as she wasn’t exactly introduced to us as the nicest character. So the fact that Hank has fallen for her is a little hard to understand. But in this episode, we get to know her a little better and I’m happy that Hank has found someone, especially considering how awkward things have been for Jill. So I’m willing to give Emily a chance….for now.
