My favorite part of this episode was watching Beckett and Castle on the accidental double-date. They each make a date and end up at the same restaurant in nearby tables.
They both made the dates in an effort to squash rumors (and reassure themselves) that they weren’t an “item”. Yeah, that plan pretty much backfired. All the two of them can do is talk about the case to their dates, boring the poor people to death. The only time Castle and Beckett show any excitement is when they keep making excuses to get up and talk to each other about the case, discovering that they’ve both had the same ideas.
Their dates actually do end up having a good time. Once Castle and Beckett leave, the two abandoned people actually end up together. Which is something I totally saw coming ,but still laughed at appreciatively.
In the end, Castle and Beckett solve the case and go out for burgers while chatting away about it. Proving of course that these two are meant for each other but have no idea, which makes watching them dance around even more fun for us.
Overall a great episode that showed us what it would be like if Castle and Beckett went out on a date…..sorta.
